From farm to slaughterhouse – control at every step
At Eidschaap, we believe that halal should not only be correct on paper, but also visible in practice. That is why we supervise every link in the process – from the origin of the animals to the moment of slaughter. We recently visited both the farms where our rams are raised and the slaughterhouse where they are processed.
The animals grow up in natural, calm conditions. The farms we work with pay a lot of attention to nutrition, living space and care. Only rams that are in good health, at least six months old and meet Islamic guidelines are selected. Animals with visible defects, such as damaged eyes, broken legs or abnormal horns, are excluded from selection.
The slaughter process is also closely monitored. In the halal-certified slaughterhouse, slaughter takes place without stunning, immediately after the Eid prayer, and under the supervision of an authorized halal supervisor. Each animal is individually assigned to the customer beforehand, fully in accordance with the regulations. This personal approach is a core part of our service.
By controlling and continuously reviewing this entire process ourselves, we guarantee the reliability of what we offer. For our customers, this means: 100% halal, transparent and trusted – with attention to detail and respect for religious guidelines.
